Our Story

Cover Up Designs has been proudly designing and manufacturing as Interior Designers in Hampshire and the Berkshire borders for nearly 50 years. Our dedicated team have an outstanding reputation for being knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We work with clients who live locally, nationally and internationally.

Jennifer, our Head of Design, has been immersed in building projects, textiles and interior design from an early age through her parents who were architects and designers. After her University studies she took an additional two year Interior Design qualification. For the past many decades, Jennifer has project managed numerous projects in Europe and the UK, including many involving listed buildings.

Cover Up Designs became available to Jennifer just as her wonderful boys were becoming independent-the perfect time to take on her own business. Her approach to design is hands-on and practical and she enjoys nothing more than adapting traditional design elements in new ways to fit modern daily life. A pastel drawing of her much loved pony can be seen in pride of place in the newly refurbished Cover Up Designs studio, and riding remains her favourite thing to do on days off.

Alison, whose original involvement with Cover Up Designs was as a client, soon became an integral and valued part of the team. She has been with us for 6 years, overseeing the day to day running of the of the studio, often coming to work with her beloved Irish Terrier, Pippa. She spends much of her free time with her 2 lovely daughters, and loves walking in the fresh country air.

Sarah has been with Cover Up Designs for 9 years, firstly in an administrative role, before studying Traditional Upholstery and becoming our in-house Upholsterer.  Sarah has a friendly, client-driven approach, with an exacting eye for detail and colour, and the ability to transform the most broken of chairs into glorious new works of art. When she isn’t in the workroom or office, Sarah’s life revolves around her husband and 2 beautiful children.
